Synopsis

In the language of Okinawa, "champloo" means to mix things together. And that is what we have here, two insanely powerful samurai named Mugen and Jin. Mugen has the nose and instincts of a wild animal, as well as a rough and wild fighting style that's as powerful as it is uniquely his own. Jin's a bit more refined. The master swordman trained under a legendary warrior rumoured to have never lost a fight, and people say he's even more powerful than his master. Wild man Mugen and the cool, composed Jin seem like oil and water. Nevertheless, they end up travelling together after their paths cross by chance. But these two are far from friends. The only thing binding them together is the mysterious samurai that a young woman named Fuu is searching for. Their journey is a modern road trip through the lens of a bygone era - a historical drama that shatters the classic conventions of the genre.
